This section investigates the perception and preferences for government spending relative to GDP.

Keeping in mind that all personal and business spending, state government spending, and local government spending come from the same pool of resources, estimate the fraction (eg. ½ or 50%) of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) – the total annual economic output of the nation – that you feel ought to be consumed by the federal government.
